A Message From
Since the beginning, the ethos of the Academy has been to nurture and encourage our students.
While the ambience in our teaching rooms, our individual approach, lesson programmes and tutors contributes to students realising their ambitions, an important factor in their success is the support they receive from parents, guardians and extended families and we encourage that.
Preparing for the annual round of examinations is important to many students and our record of helping them to achieve distinctions in State and other examining board examinations is second to none. Having said that it is not all about tests, every student is appreciated and whenever possible we showcase all our students through the annual programme of special events.
Every student, from the youngest to those of mature years that undertakes a programme of study in the Academy is assured not just of a warm welcome but also a nurturing teaching environment that will help them fulfil their passion.
Now Enrolling for 2019/20
The Academy continues to accept enrollments for the current academic year for music and singing lessons.
The Academy will try to accommodate requests for preferred days and times, given that lessons are now underway.
Tuition Programs for All Ages
Our tutors are committed to the development of students as artists and individuals. Acknowledging that every student has unique ways of learning and levels of ability, lessons are tailored to individual requirements be they for the Junior and Leaving Certificates, Royal Irish Academy of Music or other examining board examinations.
Many students, especially those of mature years, take programmes of lessons for the satisfaction of improving their proficiency in playing an instrument or in singing.

The Academy is a really nurturing environment and that’s what makes it special.”
"When I first came to the Academy, it was like home to me, I loved it.
I never expected or intended to sing on stage, but you get such encouragement that you can’t resist.”
Ethne Burke- Doran
“It’s not the business of teaching you see coming out (in lessons), it is the love of arts, heritage and culture that shows you the value of the Academy.”
